Proposed Surcharge B – Public Hearing November 17, 2026

Leavitt Lake Community Services District is proposing a temporary Surcharge B of $8.46 per month, per customer, for a period of one year.

What Will Surcharge B Be Used For?

The proposed surcharge is intended to help the District address necessary infrastructure and equipment repair costs, including:

• Well No. 1 Repairs: Well No. 1 is the District's primary and only truly usable well for meeting the community's regular water demands. Necessary repairs include replacement of the well pipe and motor and related work needed to keep the well operational and reliable.
• Tractor Repairs: A portion of the surcharge will also help cover necessary repairs to District equipment used for operations and maintenance.

The proposed surcharge is temporary and is intended to provide funding for these specific repair needs without placing the entire financial burden on the District's existing operating budget.

Public Hearing

A public hearing regarding the proposed Surcharge B will be held:

Tuesday, November 17, 2026
4:00 p.m.
Leavitt Lake Community Services District 471-830 Buffum Lane

The public hearing will provide property owners and customers an opportunity to receive information regarding the proposed surcharge and provide comments to the Board of Directors before action is considered.

The District is following the applicable Proposition 218 public notice and protest process. Written protests regarding the proposed surcharge must be submitted in accordance with the instructions provided in the District's official Proposition 218 notice.

Surcharge B will not be implemented before completion of the public hearing and applicable Proposition 218 process.
